Setting an Example of Diversity & Leadership Excellence
There is something to be said of those who achieve excellence despite the odds. The Texas Diversity Council as part of the National Diversity Council seeks not only to uphold and promote the principles of diversity and leadership, but also to recognize those individuals who personify those principles. As such, we have several annual awards, with which recognize and honor those individuals who have not only achieved personal success, but have made it possible for others to easily follow in their footsteps.
DiversityCHAMPION™ Awards
Each year the Texas Diversity Council recognizes individuals in each of the Advisory Boards that have demonstrated leadership and involvement within their respective market. The nominee should be at a leadership level in the organization and continues to exemplify and promote diversity & inclusion. These individuals are also strong advocates in the areas of multicultural outreach and community involvement. The 2013 DiversityCHAMPION™ winners in each market are:
DiversityFIRST™ Awards
The purpose of this award program is to recognize individuals, community groups, non-profit organizations, and business establishments within the legal, academic, corporate, and/or health community that have demonstrated outstanding achievements and sustained commitment to the pursuit of cultural diversity and inclusion in the community and workplace. The award was created to recognize and commend organizations and individuals for their support of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, in turn transforming our diverse community into a truly inclusive environment where individuals are valued for their talent and able to reach their full potential. 2013 DiversityFirst™ Award winners are:
