Texas Diversity Council Leading the Effort Across the State
Texas Diversity Council is proud to once again host the Annual Women in Leadership Symposium across various markets. Dennis Kennedy, Founder & CEO of the Texas Diversity Council states, "We are excited to offer this symposium each year as a way to bring together women of all levels and backgrounds while empowering them to succeed in business, the community, and in their personal well-being." The theme for this year's symposiums is "Women of Influence: Leading with Courage and Conviction". It's more than just being more aggressive or asking for promotions. According to an article in the Harvard Business Review, on average, the article reports, women earn 23% less than men. Women continue to try and break, shatter or even just crack the glass ceiling, which this symposium serves as one piece of that puzzle. It will also be paired with gaining insight into a balanced life. It is about creating an environment for women to learn from each other, new ways to lead, and new ways to help others succeed. The events will feature a panel discussion compiled of corporate and organizational leaders from across the business community who represent a collage of professionals of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds and experiences. The topics being discussed during these sessions will include:

Each year, the Symposium brings in a variety of business professionals, entrepreneurs, non-profit organization directors and representatives, academicians, and students with each year also increasing the attendance.
