Texas Diversity and Leadership Conference - 2007 Dallas, Texas

Conference Overview

The Third Annual Texas Diversity & Leadership Conference & Exposition will be held on May 15-16, 2007, at the Dallas Convention Center. The theme for the conference is “Becoming a DiversityFIRST Consumer™.” The expected attendance is over 4,500. Furthermore, the conference will feature Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.) as the featured keynote speaker on May 16.

Tracks

The conference will offer attendees several Tracks including: Compliance, College Students, Diversity (Workplace, Marketing and Supplier), Leadership, Professional Development, Community, Recruiting, Talent Management and Women. Conference attendees are not limited to one specific track.

There will be several half-day pre-conference summits, including the following:

All summits are pre-conference events and require additional registration fees for non-sponsorship registration.

Exhibit Hall

The Exhibit Hall is free to the public on both May 15 & 16. The Exhibit Hall will be divided into four sections: Regional Diversity Job Fair, Supplier Diversity Fair, Business Schools (MBA), and the Marketing of Good and Services. We will have over 100 employers participating in the job fair. Additionally, the Supplier Diversity Fair will provide minority- and women-owned businesses the chance to interact with corporations seeking diverse suppliers. And for those seeking a MBA, the exhibit hall will feature the top MBA Schools in the southwest region. We are anticipating over 220 exhibitors. Finally, the exhibit hall will have several raffles in which $15,000 worth of gift certificates and travel packages will be given away. All attendees of the exhibit hall have an opportunity to participate in the give aways.

Networking

Network! Network! Network! There will be two networking receptions in the Exhibit Hall. The first reception will be held on May 15 from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Additionally, the conference will end with a reception on May 16 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. If you would like to just participate in the networking reception, registration opportunities are available.
