Achieving meaningful progress within the field of diversity is a goal that requires the participation and commitment of dynamic, motivated leaders. While many organizations have departmental heads and executive leadership who promote innovative ideas and policies within their respective structures, there is a lack of a forum or opportunity by which best practices may be exchanged at this level.  In an effort to fulfill this need, we are launching the Texas Diversity Think Tank.  

This will be a Texas Diversity Council Vision: 2010 Initiative that aims to bring together the most talented, high-level diversity practitioners from various industries throughout the state.  These individuals will meet quarterly to discuss best practices and strive for further personal and professional development, individually and collectively. By conducting various research projects focused on diversity in a variety of industries, the Think Tank will tackle the challenges of moving diversity and inclusion forward in Texas.

Join us in taking the next step toward creating a progressive, sustainable culture of diversity and inclusion. By leveraging the resources of the most advanced practitioners in the industry, we can make significant advancements in this endeavor.

Our Mission:  To create a forum in which Texas Diversity Practitioners can share their experience and in addition, further the cause of diversity and inclusion throughout the state.

Our Vision: A newly-energized diversity and inclusion industry in Texas that will serve as a model of progress and innovation.

Our Goals:

• High-level discussions lead by diversity practitioners that focus on creating and sharing best practices and the progression of diversity and inclusion in Texas
• Commission and produce research to identify specific challenges and trends in order to provide innovative solutions
• Establish a statewide agenda and standards in response to the specific diversity and inclusion challenges and trends

June 2, September 1, December 1, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
